Fan-made FNAF spinoff
TJOCR -The Joy Of Creation Reborn is a free-to-play simulation experience that puts you in a different perspective from within the Freddy Fazbear universe. In this survival horror experience, you follow Scott Cawthon and his family. Set in the family’s house, the game also features solving puzzles, investigating the family’s secrets, and running away from murderous animatronic monsters.
With quality 3D graphics, TJOCR -The Joy Of Creation Reborn aims to capture the immersion and suspense of the original games, such as the hit Five Nights at Freddy's, up to Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 and Five Nights at Freddy’s 4.
Blurring the line between fact and fiction
As mentioned, the TJOCR -The Joy Of Creation Reborn revolves around Scott Cawthon and his family as they try to survive animatronic puppets that have followed them into their home. In reality, Scott Braden Cawthon is the American writer and video game developer behind the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. This makes the game premise immersive, although non-fans of the FNAF franchise might miss the connection.
For the game itself, it features some quality visuals for a fan made game. The house is small yet rich in detail, capturing an unassuming setting that’s also perfect for a survival-horror experience. Even the movement is smooth, which works with its horror. While it doesn’t offer the same CCTV and movement restrictions as the original FNAF games, it makes good use of atmospheric sound and designs for the puppet.
Aside from the effective horror, the game can be more taxing than other entries in the subgenre due to a number of reasons. One, certain elements of the game are randomized, keeping the game unpredictable to a degree. Another is that most objectives in the game are time-limited, which adds even more difficulty to an already challenging game. Successfully completing a run will take at least a couple of tries.
An amazing FNAF spinoff
The Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise has spawned a lot of remakes, ports, and spinoffs, and TJOCR -The Joy Of Creation Reborn is one of the better ones. It uses the series developer as the game’s protagonist and immerses the player in a mix of new and familiar elements. While the difficulty curve is slightly steeper than other games, the graphics, gameplay, and content all make it worth the effort.
